Implantable axial flow pump.

INCOR ®LVAD system is intended as left ventricular assistance device, bridge to transplant, recovery or destination therapy in patients with heart diseases as dilatative, ischemic, restrictive, post partum, toxic cardiomyopathies and in general severe left ventricle failures refractory to optimal medical treatment, such that a heart transplantation should be considered as unique solution.

The blood flow coming from the left ventricle goes into the pump, and the impeller moves it in aorta. As a result, the pump replaces (assists) the left ventricle.
