New model of SphygmoCor for clinical use, in addition to the well known and tested family of Sphygmocor devices, considered as the "gold standard" for central aortic pressure and stiffness measurement.

The new SphygmoCor Xcel system is validated, FDA and CE approved. It calculates the cf - PWV (Carotid-Femoral Pulse Wave Velocity, Stiffness etc.) through the contemporaneous measurement of delays in the sphygmic wave in carotid position with tonometer and in the femoral position with a cuff on the thigh.
